“In a national climate that has exposed polarized, ‘us versus them’ views, it is necessary to engage in conversations that lead to better understanding and healthy discussions on and across difference. The Defamation Experience provides a safe space for the audience to grapple with hot-button and polarizing issues in a manner that is engaging, promoting self-reflection as attendees are confronted with the biases they carry and conducive to learning about others through the post show discussion.

Attendees left the experience with an amplified understanding of biases and how they are attained as well as a greater understanding of the need to and importance of interrupting biases when they surface.”
